Mark is a 40-year Chelsea resident and musician. Mark knows that we deliver more than nourishment as God’s Love served many of his friends lost at the height of the AIDS pandemic. Now, Mark is living with prostate cancer. He tries to live each day to the fullest, and he looks forward to his weekly Wednesday visits from his God’s Love delivery driver, Ronnie.
“Ronnie is awesome. He calls me when he’s a couple of minutes away to make sure I’m up and around, and he always shows up with a big grin on his face. He feels like a lifelong friend to me.”
Mark thinks the meals taste great and he knows that his menu was created by our team of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists to optimize his health. But Mark also notices and appreciates the little things that come with every delivery: “You make it a point to communicate with the people you serve. Looking right in our eyes. Making us feel all right. And letting us know you’re our friends. Beyond the food, that’s an equally great service!”
Mark also tells us: “I’m healthier than I was a couple of years ago. I feel stronger. I’m starting to feel like myself again. I make a lot of doctor’s appointments and I proudly say ‘No, not on Wednesday. That’s my God’s Love delivery day and I don’t want to miss it!’
