From Lancaster, With Love: A Heartwarming Evening of Giving

Last Monday, we had the privilege of being part of a heartwarming and extraordinary evening in support of the life-sustaining work of God’s Love We Deliver. “From Lancaster, With Love” was a remarkable event hosted by our generous friends, Sam and Dena Lombardo, in collaboration with the dedicated team at Lombardo’s restaurant in Lancaster, PA.

In the past year, our organization has seen incredible growth, with a 30% increase in medically tailored meals delivered to individuals facing life-altering illnesses. None of this would have been possible without the steadfast support of individuals like Sam and Dena Lombardo, who understand the profound impact a community can have when they come together.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Sam and Dena, who not only opened their hearts but also their stunning restaurant, Lombardo’s, for this special occasion. Their generosity and dedication to our cause are truly remarkable, and we are honored to consider them part of the God’s Love family.

But there’s more! Our sold-out crowd was in for an extra special treat. We were thrilled to have renowned Chef Michael Anthony, the culinary genius behind the success of Gramercy Tavern in NYC, as our esteemed guest chef for the evening. Chef Michael Anthony not only brings exceptional culinary talent to the table but also serves on our Board of Directors, demonstrating his deep commitment to our mission.

This event provided not only a delightful evening of delicious food (check out the curated menu below) and friendship but also an opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing nutritious meals to individuals who are unable to shop or cook for themselves due to illness.

As we gathered to celebrate love, growth, and the power of community, we find ourselves profoundly grateful to Sam and Dena, Chef Mike, Team Lombardo (especially Meredith and Nina), and our extraordinary colleague and event lead, Lila Winfrey.

The support and participation of everyone in attendance touched the lives of those we serve and continue to drive our mission forward.
