Miles for Meals: 11th Annual Douglas Elliman Ride for Love Funds 15,000 Meals

On October 1st, the 11th Annual Douglas Elliman Ride for Love in support of God’s Love We Deliver set off with 63 riders cycling 25-100 miles in the sun in partnership with the Tour of the Hamptons presented by the Massapequa Park Bike Club.

The Ride commenced the evening before at a dinner with Douglas Elliman Team Lead Bridget Harvey and her partner, Mac. Fun stories were told of past Rides, giving those in attendance a sense of excitement to see what the next day would bring.

The day of the Ride began with riders picking up their bikes and registering. The weather was gorgeous and a perfect day for the ride, and the riders’ enthusiasm and the sense of determination to complete their lengths was apparent, especially with the families who fundraised and rode together.

Chief Philanthropy Officer Stephen Covello and Ride Director Bridget Harvey kicked off the festivities by welcoming and thanking the riders. In total, Ride for Love participants raised $150,000, equaling 15,000 medically tailored meals. Douglas Elliman’s generosity and dedication to our cause are truly remarkable, and we are honored to consider them part of God’s Love We Deliver. In total, the Ride for Love has now raised a grand total of $1,721,431, funding 172,143 meals for New Yorkers who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves.
