As many of you know, New York City is currently under Executive Order 202.6 which states that nonessential employees must stay at home. What does this mean for organizations like God’s Love We Deliver? We are very thankful that the city considers the work we do to be an essential service and have continued to deliver to all of clients living with serious illness. New York City considers providers of basic necessities to economically disadvantaged populations to be an essential service that will remain open. As we continue to operate our program, we are following recommendations by the New York State Department of Health, CDC, and World Health Organization. We have a new protocol for our volunteers, drivers and delivery staff to keep both our employees and clients safe. We are extremely thankful to our community for volunteering when they can, and to our staff and supporters for continuing to support our mission in this difficult time.
