Samah Dada Brings Her Culinary Community to God’s Love
When Culinary Council member Samah Dada opened a volunteer shift up to her community of foodie followers on Instagram, the spots filled up within hours. Yesterday, those who signed up came to God’s Love to meet Samah, show their skills in the kitchen, and support our clients!
On Thursday evening, the group met at God’s Love and introduced themselves before their volunteer orientation. They then headed down to the kitchen to scoop and pack our veggie burgers with mixed vegetables and quinoa. The volunteers had a great time getting to know each other and bonding over recipes, shared interests, and so much more. During their shift, the group packed 1,598 meals for our clients living with illness. Before heading home, each volunteer received a curated goodie bag from Samah filled with her favorite snacks donated from Simple Mills, Siete, and Lesser Evil. Thank you to Samah, each volunteer, and the snack companies who made this such a special day.
