Remarks from David Ludwigson
Good evening everyone, and welcome to the 2024 Golden Heart Awards! I’m David Ludwigson, President & CEO of God’s Love We Deliver, and I’m thrilled you’re spending this evening with us. I want to express deep gratitude to Michael Kors, John Idol, and their team, as well as our Chairwoman Anna Wintour and the Co-Chairs for their unwavering support. Special thanks to Karen Pearl, our former President & CEO, for her nearly 20 years of service, and to our honorees: Sarah Jessica Parker, Megan Thee Stallion, Cole Escola, and Pat Costello. Your contributions mean the world to us.
This past year has been one of innovation and growth for God’s Love. We’ve partnered with NYU Langone, launched a unique diet for sickle cell patients, and expanded our CONNECTED program to support over 1,000 military veterans and their families. Why does this matter? Medically tailored meals keep people out of hospitals, allowing them to stay in their homes, where they want to be. This year, we cooked and delivered 4.3 million meals, a record-breaking number, and expect to serve over 5 million meals this year.
As New York City’s only provider of medically tailored meals, we remain committed to changing lives, and I look forward to keeping you updated on this exciting journey.
