Friends in the food industry who are helping us rise to the challenges of COVID-19

The hospitality industry has supported God’s Love We Deliver since the very first days when Ganga Stone picked up gourmet meals for clients on her bike from restaurants around the city. In 2020, our restaurant, catering, and hospitality friends are still standing by our side, helping us continue to cook and home-deliver medically tailored meals to New Yorkers who in many ways, need us more than ever before.

Here are some friends from the industry who have donated food or funds to help us continue to deliver:

Named the world’s best bar, Dante NYC, has also been among the world’s most generous bars throughout the entire coronavirus pandemic. They’ve been donating food to hospitals around the city, and they’ve kept slinging to go cocktails and cocktail kits for customers. Since the early days of the pandemic, $1 off each of their signature drinks has been donated to God’s Love We Deliver.

Our friends at the color factory sent us 5,000 macarons to thank our volunteers with sweetness and beautiful color for their incredible commitment and effort.

Chef John Greeley of The Boat House and Gallagher’s donated hundreds of pounds of vegetables that form the foundation of all our soups: onions, carrots, celery, and potatoes. They also delivered dairy, eggs, and other items which we have cooked into our meals for our clients.


Our neighborhood trattoria, Il Corallo, called us with an offer of produce and cheese and pasta. We happily cooked the produce into our meals for our clients, and thanked our volunteers with the cheese and pasta. Grazie Il Corallo!

Lupii, a new plant based snack company based here in NYC has donated more than 200 protein bars which our fueling our tireless volunteers. Lupii is a super nutritious lupini bean based protein bar that comes in 3 flavors: peanut butter cacao nib, almond butter cinnamon raisin and tahini lemon cranberry.

Raoul’s, a favorite neighborhood restaurant and hang out since 1975, has come through with donations of produce to our kitchen and fine cheeses for our volunteers.

In early April, Sysco generously dropped 513 cartons of yogurt which we have distributed to our clients. Our clients love to receive yogurt, so we were thrilled to distribute this wonderful donation.

The ravioli store donated 77 cases of delicious hand-made manicotti which we distributed as a thank you to our volunteers.


Jack Monkey Catering donated organic dairy, eggs, and produce. The delicious yams and other produce were cooked into meals for our clients, and the dairy and eggs were distributed to our incredible and hard-working volunteers.

The Burger Garage of queens offered us all of their fresh inventory which they cannot use, as they are temporarily closed. Our kitchen gratefully accepted the donation of large cans of tomatoes, ketchup, mayonnaise, tuna, hot sauce, onions, rolls, eggs, cheese, frozen turkey, frozen fries, and frozen soup.

Our friends at Empire Diner and Cafeteria have fed us in happier times, but they’re still providing for the clients, staff and volunteers of God’s Love We Deliver during these challenging times. They dropped off food and produce which our kitchen and our volunteers enjoyed thorough.

Chef Ignacio Mattos got in touch through instagram because he wanted to donate eggs, citrus, butter, and stocks from Cafe Altro. We used much of this generous donation to prepare soups for our clients, and we also sent our volunteers home with treats that we couldn’t use for our clients. Thank you Chef!

Cocktail bar, Analogue and Sports bar, Gold Bear donated a generous selection of cheeses, bread, produce, meat, eggs, mushrooms, pita and hummus. Chef Daniel took what he could use in the kitchen to produce medically tailored meals, and we put the rest out for our volunteers to enjoy after their shift.

Paul and Jimmy’s dropped off an incredible lunch of fusilli, orechiette, and salad to thank our volunteers and staff who are working on site.

Melissa from Single Baked Treats reached out to us with an offer of shipping single bake cookies to our offices. We gratefully accepted 45 kits of the dark chocolate with white chocolate chip cookie, which we used to thank our brave volunteers.

One of our favorite food magazines, Cherry Bombe, which celebrates women in food. 100% of proceeds from their 14th issue will go to coronavirus relief. Two of their four cover stars, Dorie Greenspan and Lani Halliday chose God’s Love We Deliver as the beneficiary of their sales.

Caffe’ Vergnano, producer of real Italian espresso since 1882, has been encouraging coffee lovers to enjoy their favorite drink from home. Not only are they are offering free shipping on all orders, but they are also donating one God’s Love We Deliver meal for each U.S. order that they receive.

Local, sustainable, and grass-fed butchers Hudson & Charles donated 400 lbs of beef for our clients. Chef Daniel was thrilled to work with this beautiful product!

They are open for socially distant shopping and are taking pre-orders at both locations uptown (555 Amsterdam Ave) and downtown (524 Hudson).

Brand-new sausage company Seemore Meats & Veggies was founded by a 4th generation butcher. They sent 150 packs of their beautiful, colorful sausages to our kitchen for Chef Daniel to cook for our clients. We love that these sausages incorporate up to 35% veggies, as we’re always trying to incorporate plant-forward foods into our medically tailored meals.
