Plasma Saves: Donate Plasma, Save Lives

We’re honored to be partnering with PlasmaSaves.org, a non-profit founded in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic that facilitates the donation of COVID-19 convalescent plasma to save lives and fund critical research. PlasmaSaves.org pays-it-forward by donating $100 per COVID-19 plasma donation in the donor’s name to God’s Love We Deliver and a member of the Food is Medicine Coalition, which supports individuals through medically tailored meals, nutrition, and COVID-19 relief aid services.

PlasmaSaves.org is working against an urgent timeline: to mobilize COVID-19 survivors to save lives. Founders Marisol & Richard Brekka have said,

“We were struck with a feeling of tremendous helplessness in March 2020 when COVID-19 hit our beloved hometown of New York City. Witnessing so many lives lost due to this virus, we were compelled to create PlasmaSaves.org. So many families across so many American cities have experienced loss and hardship — emotionally, socially, and economically – and that motivated us to create PlasmaSaves. It’s our hope that we significantly contribute to the greater effort of COVID-19 convalescent plasma collection to assist in the recovery of COVID-19 patients and save lives. And, in doing so, motivate others to donate and join us — all while paying it forward to the food is medicine mission and critical research.”

Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 may be able to help patients currently fighting the virus by donating their convalescent plasma. Visit www.PlasmaSaves.org to check eligibility and find a nearby donation center. Individuals must make their plasma donations to non-profit blood banks and receive a receipt.

Once an individual has donated, they may submit their receipt via PlasmaSaves.org to receive confirmation of PlasmaSaves.org’s $100 donation, in their name, to God’s Love We Deliver and the Food is Medicine Coalition.
