Shaking and Baking with genLOVE at ‘Cookies & Cocktails’
On February 27th, the genLOVE young professional community came together for an unforgettable evening of sweet treats, spirited sips, and culinary creativity at Cookies & Cocktails.
In collaboration with Culinary Council members Chef Amanda Freitag and Chef Zac Young, guests were treated to a one-of-a-kind tasting experience featuring cocktail-inspired cookies and artisanal craft cocktails. Zac Young took center stage with a live baking demonstration, whipping up Margarita-, Espresso Martini-, and Manhattan-inspired cookies, all while engaging the crowd with his signature wit and charm. Meanwhile, Amanda Freitag shared her expertise, diving into the science behind crafting the perfect cocktail and offering insights into her journey in founding Freitag Cocktails, her ‘Boozy AF’ bottled cocktail brand.
Guests not only had the pleasure of savoring cookies straight from the oven, but also left with chilled dough balls to bake at home. And, as an added treat, everyone took home God’s Love We Deliver’s iconic Chuck’s Famous Brownies—a sweet reminder of the organization’s mission to nourish those in need.
