22nd Annual Midsummer Night Drinks
Midsummer Night Magic! On Saturday, July 29, we held our 22nd annual Midsummer Night Drinks – the highlight of the Hamptons summer season – hosted by the one and only chef, singer, actor David Burtka and actor, singer, producer, Neil Patrick Harris.
We extend endless gratitude to David and Neil for generously opening their gorgeous home to us. Their flair for entertainment and passion for our mission made this a night to remember. We couldn’t have asked for better ringleaders!
From circus performers to balloon art and tarot card readings, guests were transported to a world of whimsy and wonder! During a lively auction hosted by God’s Love President & CEO David Ludwigson and actor, singer, producer Erich Bergen, guests sponsored program items for our clients living with life-altering illness. Generous guests bid to fund meals for a client one year, sponsor a God’s Love delivery, and to underwrite other critical items.
As the need for medically tailored meals continues to grow, events like Midsummer Night Drinks allow us to meet this demand. This year, God’s Love cooked and home-delivered more than 3.6 million meals – an agency record – and served more than 12,800 individuals. The funds raised this weekend will allow us to remain true to our core values: we will never charge a client or their family for meals, never have a waiting list, and will always deliver a meal on the next delivery day after first contact.
Watch the Magic
While dining on carnival-themed food, guests enjoyed drinks for every palette and preference: delicious and refreshing spritzes from Delola, carnival-themed specialty cocktails by Teremana, and the classic Sassenach from ReserveBar. Festive mocktails were provided by Boisson mocktails and refreshing beverages from Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company were served.
After several hours of music, mingling, and more, attendees left with a gift bag that included a Supergoop! sunscreen and “Chuck’s Famous Brownies” baked in the God’s Love kitchen. The evening would not have been possible without Canard, Inc., Dan Klores Communications, and Paul Wilmot Communications.
On behalf of the entire God’s Love We Deliver team, thank you for joining us at this year’s carnival extravaganza. Your enthusiastic attendance helped make this year’s event an unparalleled celebration of love, generosity, and old-fashioned carnival fun! We hope you’re still reveling in the magic of Midsummer Night Drinks in the Hamptons.
