Welcoming New Volunteer Leadership: Alex Bussenger, William Li, Gabrielle McGee, and Cindy Secunda

As we ramp up to cook and home-deliver more than 3.6 million medically tailored meals for New Yorkers living with severe illness, we are pleased to announce the addition of four new members to our volunteer leadership: Please join us in welcoming Alexander Bussenger, William Li, and Gabrielle McGee to our Board of Directors and Cindy Secunda to our Board of Trustees!

Alex Bussenger

Alex Bussenger provides tailored advice and guidance to company founders, entrepreneurs, and senior executives in multiple industries. He consults to individuals and families about diverse aspects of their financial lives and legacies, supporting them in developing a more cohesive and purposeful approach to their wealth. Alex leads a team of in-house specialists who work in concert to discern potential opportunities and gaps in each client’s situation, addressing those needs through a multi-disciplinary approach. The team’s areas of focus include credit and liquidity services, expansion strategies, pre-IPO planning, public and private investments, and sophisticated wealth-transfer strategies. Alex also facilitates access to philanthropic specialists who are adept in private foundation management.

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Alex was a member of a Merrill Private Wealth Management team that catered to the needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients. His experience also includes tenures in management consulting and equity research. He has worked in financial services since 2013 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Canisius College.

William Li

William Li is a successful senior executive with 25 years of experience building luxury brands across multiple industries. He achieved notable success during his tenure with Condé Nast Publications, where he was the publisher of Men’s Vogue and Condé Nast Portfolio, and was the first openly gay person of color to hold a publisher position at Condé Nast. Li continued his success as Global Brand President of Ralph Lauren Home, “smashing the bamboo ceiling” in retail.

William has tapped into his passion for artistic, thoughtful storytelling in his latest chapter as a contributing editor for Elle Decor and Town & Country, co-host of The Audition podcast about Broadway, and co-producer of the Emmy-nominated PBS series, Lucky Chow. Li founded Armature Projects, an art consultancy that connects the worlds of art and design, working with a diverse group of emerging and mid-career artists, with a focus on young and emerging Asian artists, becoming a trusted resource for top architects, designers, and collectors seeking curated art programs.

Gabrielle Raymond McGee

Gabrielle Raymond McGee is an accomplished marketing executive who has achieved remarkable results in sports, entertainment, and fashion industries. As COO of the Tory Burch Foundation, she helped scale the organization to become a go-to resource for women entrepreneurs worldwide, reaching over one million women weekly. She also launched the successful #EmbraceAmbition digital campaign and introduced the Capital Program powered by Bank of America, which has deployed over $95MM in low-interest loans to 5,500 women-owned businesses. Most recently, she launched Tory Burch’s first-ever global sports partnership with the International Tennis Federation’s Billie Jean King Cup.

At the MLB, she worked on the World Series and All-Star Game. She also launched digital platforms that created superfans and drove record-breaking attendance at key events through community efforts. She established MLBCommunity.org, the League’s first centralized platform for social impact. Gabrielle was Senior Managing Director of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, where she led campaigns like Building for America’s Bravest and expanded annual donations from $700K to $10MM. Her accolades include being named to the Marketing Hall of Femme and receiving the Intellectual Contribution Award three times from the Stanford Graduate School of Business LEAD program. Gabrielle holds a Master of Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from Elon University. She is presently an MBA Executive student at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Cindy Secunda

Cindy Secunda has been involved with a variety of charities her whole life as a member, an employee, a volunteer, and a Board member. Starting with Girl Scouts of Greater New York at three years old (until 2012), an Explorer Boy Scout, the local library, a tour guide in NYC, NOW, American Association of University Women, the 92nd Street Y, the National Parks Conservation Association, Center for Science in the Public Interest, Craft Emergency Relief Fund, the Clinton Foundation, Croton Community Nursery School, St. John School for the Arts, and WhyHunger (to name just a few).

She is currently in the middle of too many projects even for her, although she hates being bored and, as her friends say, it keeps her out of trouble! Always a good thing!

Cindy lives with her husband, Tom, and has two adult daughters.

Looking Ahead

We look forward to working with our new volunteer leadership members. Thank you for bringing your expertise, and knowledge to God’s Love We Deliver. Welcome, Alexander, William, Gabrielle, and Cindy!
